Priscilla’s Journey
written by: Kari (mother)
Priscilla was born 35w1d and within 12 hours of being born got diagnosed with aortic stenosis. Her original cardiologist wanted to do the wait and see approach, even though she was critical at a month old – so we switched to a cardiologist out of Philadelphia. She ended up getting her heart catheterization within two weeks of meeting the new cardiologist and now we are waiting to be able to do her valve replacement surgery. Navigating CHD has been a life altering experience. Our older two children had to be tested for CHD as well but our youngest is our supernova, our 1 in 100. We are so thankful for her amazing team of doctors and the journey mates we have made that have stood next to us.
